Behind the Scenes again of Mix Master
The PRoducer and the Recording Engineer.
A screen shot of the Mix Master Animation. and err in the background thats Sel... "Smile Sel? we cant see you".....
ok here's the scene where Sel is taking a role in dubbing.
Here's Sel doing some voices for the Mix Master dubbing. He helped to do a voice of the housewife & Jamu another character.
"Hey guys... Im a guy... not a housewife......so im doing my best....."
OK MR Alda is tired laughing too much after hearing Sel do a housewife character.

Being a HUGE Dimitri fan (even more so after the jackin' set he played at Velvet Dec 07) when I got wind of his new album via Defected's website, I was dying to hear it. Looking at the track listing I was gushing over the fact that he pulled some wicked old skool stuff like Jami's Cosmic Girl, Ain't No Mountain and Always There. Not forgetting some soulful Barry White and my all time fav mix of Fish Go Deep's The Cure and the Cause.
I remember after Dim's rockin set @ Velvet, I literally couldn't wipe the grin off my face. It's one of those awesome moments where the music's so bloody fab that it literally runs through your veins and soul. Okay, I guess it's one of those moments where 'you had to be there,' but he pulled out some mind blowin' tracks that night and it was bliss. It was almost identical to his Live @ Jack set a good friend had passed on to me and I'd been having that blasting from my car stereo and home for months after.
Okay, so back to the CD. It pretty much has the same vibe as his live set and without doubt, Ain't No Mountain High Enough and DJ Meme's mix of The Cure and the Cause always puts a smile on my face. It's the happy-sunshine-song that's bound to make you feel loved-up and all ready-set-go to clubsville. The first disc is filled with soulful house tracks like Always There and This is What You Are to totally get you in the club-happy mood. Though I'd love it more if Dims had thrown in Ron Hall & The Muthafunkaz - The Way You Love Me and Down to Love Town by The Originals (which was from his House of Love album). Anyway, Disc 1 will def have house-lovers bopping and sunshine-happy-fied.
On to Disc 2 which shows a more sexy sultry side of house with a little Barry White and Marvin Gaye. Still keeping a softer side to housey beats but with sexier softer vocals like The Brand New Heavies feat. N'Dea Davenport. Return to the Playboy Mansion def sits up with Dim's House of Love as one of my fav house albums.
Oh, and what I'm totally amped for in the next 2 weeks? Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Music Fest and Steve Aoki - all in SG for the 16th May weekend! Whee!! So so amped! :)
